Central Perk's infamous coffee making area

The Friends Experience now open in Boston is truly a one of a kind adventure if you’re a true Friends fan. The pop up “experience” opens today (Friday, May 17) and runs through January in the Back Bay. Here is everything you need to know before you PIVOT into this unforgettable experience.

The Friends Experience back story

The company behind this immersive and interactive exhibit is  Original X Productions. And boy do they really have a gem here. It started as a pop-up in New York City and has become a staple and now touring exhibit. Now there are locations in Seattle, San Francisco, Texas and of course here in Boston. It’s described as a pop-up museum but also features an extensive gift shop with souvenirs from the show that will make any true Friends fan very happy.

Everything you need to know about The Friends Experience

It opens today in Boston and runs through January. It is open Wednesdays through Sundays only and is located in the Back Bay at 343 Newbury Street Boston. They do NOT accept cash so be prepared to bring any credit or debit card. Limited stand by tickets are available at the door so we recommend you purchasing your tickets ahead of time HERE. This experience is immersive so it allows you to be among the set and props from the actual show. You can take your own pictures, however, there are certain iconic photo ops that are considered “premium” that will be taken professionally. You will get a card with a QR code that will allow you to download those photos and purchase them yourself for a separate fee. You will be able to step into Monica’s kitchen, the iconic hallway, of course Central Perk and you will also see exclusive memorabilia from the show. There will be things you learn about your favorite Friends that I guarantee you didn’t know.

I got a chance to check out The Friends Experience before it opened to the public. Now, I’m only a casual Friends fan buy my friend who is a DIE HARD, absolutely LOVED IT. I swear she had a tear in her eye when we were leaving. I highly recommend the Friends fan in your life check it out before it’s gone. It’ll be an experience they will never forget.
