Diddy issues apology for beating Cassie. If you were like most of the people who saw the gruesome surveillance video that was released to CNN Friday, you couldn’t help but feel sorry for Cassie. Cassie of course dated Diddy from 2007 to 2018 and settled a lawsuit that accused Diddy of numerous things including abuse, violence and sex trafficking. Until now, opinions about Cassie’s reason to sue and to settle have been widespread. But ever since this video has surfaced, it seems opinions have shifted.

Surveillance video shows Diddy beating Cassie

In the surveillance video from 2016 in the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, CA, Diddy is shown in a towel kicking and dragging Cassie down the hall. Cassie seems as if she was trying to leave and when she got to the elevators, Diddy is seen kicking her after shoving her to the ground. According to Cassie’s lawyer: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”

Diddy apologizes

Since the video came to light, Diddy has issued a video statement. He calls his actions inexcusable. According to his statement: “I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
