Better Call Saul Gets Emotional on Jimmy Kimmel
Bob Odenkirk, who plays Saul on Better Call Saul, got emotional during an interview on the Jimmy Kimmel show. The show ended on Monday on AMC. Spoiler Alert– Saul goes to prison for 86 years. He could have been sent to a minimum security prison for seven years if he kept his mouth shut. The ending was a little disappointing. Jessie Pinkmen and Walter White were present in the last episode. Both play a minimal role but it is still nice to see them in a scene together.
Bob Odenkirk was on the Jimmy Kimmel and got a little emotional when discussing the ending of Better Call Saul. “Better Call Saul was a family affair and the weird thing is I do include the fans in that, Obviously the cast was all close and we even shared a place together down in Albuquerque. But I always felt the fans, your family, and all the many people gave us a chance to create our own little world there with Saul and that was really a lot. Because we came out of Breaking Bad, which for many people was their favorite show.”
The show Better Call Saul is over but Bob Odenkirk is remaining with AMC. Odenkirk is coming out with a new series in 2023. According to Vanityfair.com, “AMC has no plans for further journeys into the Breaking Bad universe, though Bob Odenkirk has signed on to an upcoming AMC dramedy called Straight Man, based on a Richard Russo novel.”
According to Hollywood Reporter, the ratings for the spinoff averaged 1.8 million viewers for AMC, a same-day season high by almost 400,000 viewers (the season premiere in April had 1.42 million viewers). The episode, “Saul Gone,” also had more viewers than any episode in season five, or season four — or any Saul installment since the third-season finale back in June 2017 drew 1.85 million people on its first night.”
