Akon Defends Kanye West For Selling His Clothes From Trash Bags.
Kanye West is always in the news. Just recently he was criticized for selling his clothing line, which sold at Gap, out of trash bags. I’m not a big fan of Kanye West’s clothing line. His clothes look cheap. Many considered selling clothes out of trash bags as disrespectful to homeless people. However, the homeless were inspirational towards Kanye’s creation of his fashion line. Kanye West stated, “Look to the children. Look to the homeless as the biggest inspiration for all design.”
Kanye West had to defend his actions on Fox News, which probably was not the greatest place to explain yourself, Kanye stated, “Look man, I’m an innovator and I’m not here to sit up and apologize about my ideas. That’s exactly what the media tries to do. Make us apologize for any idea that doesn’t fall under exactly the way they want us to think.”
There weren’t to many celebrates coming to his defense until now. Akon defends Kanye West’s actions. Akon argues that if it was disrespectful to the homeless then people should do something about helping the homeless. “Personally, I would tell those same people to take the clothes they’re not wearing, and go give it to the homeless, Do something. You do something.”
Many criticized Kanye West for getting inspiration from the homeless. Akon defended Kanye West again about inspiration. “I don’t think anybody should ever have to apologize for anything creative,” he said. “I think what you’re inspired by, or where you’re inspired by, should be irrelevant once he materialized it because that’s an idea that can make him more money that he possibly can use to create more opportunities for other people.”
Akon continued stating, “He says he’s doing it to put more light on the homeless, you’ve got to let him materialize that goal first… so that energy can go towards helping people.” Akon statement was from a interview with TMZ
