Jeffrey Dahmer has taken over our streaming services this fall. The Netflix series inspired by his life has become one of the top streamed series for the platform and it has inspired a lot of interest from viewers to dive deeper into his life. Believe it or not, it has even inspired people to want to dress up like Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween this year. Yes, you read that right. Jeffrey Dahmer has become one of the more requested Halloween costumes this year. Unfortunately for people requesting it, they’re out of luck as the Dahmer inspired pieces have now been removed from the ebay website for reasons it violates their violence policy. According to the official site: They will not sell “items closely associated with or that benefit violent felons, their acts, or crime scenes within the past 100 years.” Ebay is continuing to sweep their site to look for any other costumes that would violate their violence policy. This made us think, what other pop culture Halloween costumes are people looking for this year? As we all know, every year there are Halloween costumes that are inspired by pop culture icons of the past year. In year’s past, Kim Kardashian has been a big draw, as well as Tiger King, Cruella and Bernie Sanders. This year is no different. We have been looking all over the internet for the most requested Halloween costumes for 2022 and have come up with a list. We encourage you to continue this debate on the Getup Crew Facebook page. Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (May 21, 1960 Ð November 28, 1994) was an American serial killer, who murdered 17 men between 1978 and 1991 (with the majority of the murders occurring between 1989 and 1991). His murders were particularly gruesome, involving rape, necrophilia and cannibalism. With evidence overwhelmingly against him, Dahmer pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. The court found Dahmer sane and guilty on 15 counts of murder and sentenced him to 15 life terms, totalling 957 years in prison. On November 28, 1994, Dahmer and another inmate were beaten to death by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver with a bar from a weight machine while on work detail in the prison gym.
