The Ice Castles In New Hampshire Are Open! (PICS & INFO)
The experience is just as cool as it looks in the pictures! The Ice Castles in New Hampshire are open for another season!
Despite the warm temperatures we’re going to see this weekend, the Ice Castles in New Hampshire are now open for the season!
The Ice Castles are “built using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more.”
I went last year to see them for myself. It was amazing! It’s lots of fun for kids and adults and there are many opportunities for cool pics. The slide was worth the wait and I loved the fountains!
You even have the opportunity to buy tickets (for an additional fee) to go on a sleigh ride outside of the Ice Castles when you purchase your Ice Castles admission tickets. I would definitely purchase your tickets ahead of time on the website! Click here to check the calendar for all available dates and times. As of right now, most of tomorrow’s times are already sold out.
I wanted the best of both worlds, to see the Ice Castles in the daylight and at night, so I looked up the sunset time for the day I wanted to go and bought a ticket a little earlier than when the sun was going to set. It worked out perfectly! I also payed the extra money for the sleigh ride… I’d never been on a horse-drawn sleigh ride before! Who knew I had another thing to add to (and cross off on) my bucket list?!
I loved my experience at the Ice Castles, so if you go, I hope you have as much fun as I did. You should definitely check out their “frequently asked questions” page here if you’ve never been. They answer all kinds of questions you may have before planning your visit.
