What To Do At 3am When You Can’t Sleep… Make A Toilet Paper Cake! (PICS)
This woman should consider making her “hobby” a full time job when this coronavirus crisis is over! This cake looks just like a roll of toilet paper!
According to BuzzFeed, Kate, the amateur cake decorator, told them, “A billion people were tagging me in toilet paper cakes on Facebook saying that I could make a better one.”
Kate thinks that we are in a “home baking renaissance” with reports of stores selling out of baking ingredients.
“It’s a combination of procrasti-baking, seeking comfort in delicious and homey things, but also I think it’s a way for people to feel like they’re in control of something, when everything else feels so outside our personal control right now.”
Kate captioned the pics of her toilet paper roll cake: “Since so many people have tagged me in toilet paper cake photos on FB lately (I guess this is my life now), and since I can’t sleep at all at the moment anyway..I got up at 3am and made this. It’s dark chocolate and kokuto (Japanese/Okinawan black sugar) cake with vanilla buttercream and mochi fondant. And a whole lot of texturing. #toiletpapercake.”
Despite the fact that it looks exactly like a roll of toilet paper, I would totally eat a piece (or five)!
I’ve been doing coronavirus healthy food prep to try to stay as healthy as possible, but I haven’t made any sweet treats! Plus, I definitely couldn’t make something as elaborate as this!
