Ice Cube Tweets About Why Chris Tucker Really Quit The “Friday” Franchise (INFO)
Ice Cube says that Chris Tucker didn’t turn down “Next Friday” because of money.
It all started with Ice Cube responding to a tweet about how he had been “robbing his own people” with an article attached saying that Faizon didn’t reprise his roll as “Big Worm” because he only got paid $2,500 in “Friday.”
Ice Cube’s response talked about how much the “Friday” movie cost to make ($2.3 million) and that Faizon Love was paid “scale” to do the movie and only worked a couple of days on the film.
Another tweet that Ice Cube responded to said that they heard that Chris Tucker had quit over money.
Ice Cube’s response was, “We were ready to pay Chris Tucker $10-12m to do Next Friday but he turned us down for religious reasons. He didn’t want to cuss or smoke weed on camera anymore.”
We’ll have to wait and see if Chris Tucker has anything to say about Ice Cube’s tweets.
I didn’t rob no fuckin body. The 1995 Friday movie cost $2.3m to make. Shot it in 20 days. Fazion worked 1 day, maybe 2. All the actors got paid scale to do the movie. They could’ve simple said “No” but they didn’t. So miss me with that shit… https://t.co/2K1dUFZ489
