Apartment in Lawrence Catches On Fire After Residents Return Home
First Responders were dispatched to an apartment complex on Diamond Street earlier this morning, amid reports of a fire.
The complex is located in South Lawrence.
According to WCVB, the call for help came in around 10 a.m., just as people were returning to their apartment homes after being evacuated three days earlier.

The three-alarm fire quickly spread. Thankfully, everyone inside the structure escaped unscathed. One firefighter was injured during the ordeal.
Just confirmed by Lawrence Chief @Bfmorty and @MAFireMarshal that today’s fire on Diamond St. is UNRELATED to previous gas problem that caused Thursday’s fire & explosions. Gas was on today at these apartments. Different service line. One firefighter injured. #WCVB pic.twitter.com/YUiNjfiuy8

The fire broke out hours after the mandatory evacuation order for Andover, North Andover and Lawrence had been lifted.
After investigating, fire officials have said that the fire is not related to the earlier incidents that unfolded a few days prior.
