Rare Orange Lobster Sent To Museum
Being different was a life saver – literally – for this Canadian lobster.
Sky News reports a rare orange lobster was found in a crate of the crustaceans delivered to a company in Fleetwood, Lancashire, UK.
Steve Atkinson, of Neve Fishmongers, called Sea Life Blackpool right away. Curator Scott Blacker says the rare color is one in 30 million.
Most lobster are dark brown or grey – good camouflage – they usually only turn orange when cooked.
Lucky for this one, it got it color without facing the heat and now lives on permanent display at the museum.
