Janet Jackson fans were forced to relive the infamous Superbowl nipplegate incident over the weekend after Page Six ran an interview with her stylist. Wayne Scot Lukas says Justin Timberlake was pushing for the wardrobe malfunction and “insisted on doing something bigger than their performance. He wanted a reveal.” Now initially, the idea was for Janet to be wearing a pearl thong and Janet would be wearing a dress…and during the reveal, Justin was set to step on the dress revealing her ass. But Janet’s outfit changed so the idea changed. Lukas says “I wouldn’t call it a wardrobe ‘malfunction’ in a million years. It was the most functioning wardrobe in history. As a stylist, it did what it was intended to do.” Justin has recently apologized to Janet after 17 years and Lukas says “Janet has already forgiven Justin in private. They made their peace a long time ago.” Lukas is working on a tell all book where he’ll talk about the incident. No word on when it’ll be released.
