Deirdre Dagata’s Take On Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Album Cover Reveal
Giddy up! Beyoncé is coming in hot (and almost nude) on her new album cover!
Beyoncé revealed the artwork for her Renaissance album cover on social media and the “Bey Hive” is going crazy! Bey is posed atop a virtual electrified horse nearly nude and looking amazing.
While the image is, indeed, eye-catching, what I love about Beyoncé’s post is what she WROTE in the caption. It not only gives us some insight into how she created the music for her upcoming and highly anticipated album, Renaissance, but also how the journey affected her.
Beyoncé explains, “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.” Where is this magical place she speaks of and how do I get there?!
Bey also has a wish for fans when Renaissance drops on July 29th, “I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”
After hearing the first song from Renaissance, “Break My Soul,” I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album! I love hip hop, but when I was a club DJ (before I was a radio DJ), dance music was what I was spinning on a regular basis and still one of my favorite genres of music. I always love when a current artist drops an upbeat dance song.
Once again, I LOVE what Beyoncé is SAYING in this song! I think that lots of people feel the same way as she does in this song and it’s almost like Bey gives us permission to feel these feelings and an outlet to release them by singing along.
