These are cideries that take great pride in using local apples, According to the article in USA Today, the top 10 cideries use “the freshest apples to produce innovative, unique and delicious cider.” As you may have guessed, the cideries are chosen by readers of the publication. But to start, the cideries are nominated by a panel of experts. The top contenders are then voted on by readers and narrowed down to 10.

The difference between apple cider and hard cider is simply, the alcohol, or the fermentation process.
