Celebrities call for the reopening of Danroy “DJ” Henry’s case
Jay-Z and Rihanna are among the celebrities who are demanding that the case of Danroy “DJ” Henry Jr. be reopened. Twenty-year-old Henry, who’s from Easton, was shot and killed by a NY police officer Aaron Hess in October of 2010. Hess has never been charged, even though the case went before a grand jury.
DJ’s mother has said that “All the evidence is there, we just need someone with the courage to convict all those involved.” Other celebrities who signed the letter: Pharrell, Charlize Theron, Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, Mary J. Blige, Gabrielle Union and Odell Beckham Jr.
