Red roses and a Jerry Remy tribute patch were placed in the broadcast booth today at Fenway before the Red Sox home opener.
Today is a bittersweet day at Fenway. The Red Sox will take the field to kick off the 2022 season for their home opener but the lack of Jerry Remy in the booth and the park is also top of mind.
The Red Sox captioned this moving picture of red roses and the Rem Dawg tribute patch carefully placed in front of Jerry Remy’s picture in the NESN broadcast booth simply, “For Rem.”
I’d like to think that Jerry’s spirit will always be present at Fenway. RIP Rem Dawg. Thinking of you on Opening Day.
