A Woman Films Herself Being Charged and Gored by a Bison…Why She Deserves It
A woman is going viral after she recorded herself being charged and gored by a bison. Now this story was obviously created for this woman to get clicks online. For this reason, she deserves whatever injury comes her way. Before I get to the reasons why, let’s fill you in on what happened.
TikTok user Rebecca Clark was recently hiking at Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway in Texas. Soon into the hike, she encountered a group of bison on a trail. The video shows the bison moving away from Rebecca, however, one of them eventually turned around and charged her which led her to falling on the ground screaming. The video now has 2 million views on TikTok and Rebecca says she shared it “to support safety while enjoying Texas State Parks.” A spokesperson for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department told People Magazine
“We have been in touch to ensure their health and well-being, and remind visitors they should never approach bison,” the spokesperson said, noting it’s important to always “maintain a minimum 50 yards distance from the herd.”
Here’s why Rebecca deserved what came to her: #1 she got too close to the bison, obviously doing it for views and clicks. It worked. #2 when the bison attacked her, she should’ve stopped filming and ran or at least tried to get away. At this point, safety should always be your first priority, not trying to get likes and clicks for social media.
There is a lesson to be learned here kids. Your life is more important than being social media famous. Consider not just your life, but your friends and family’s lives as they will be the ones who will miss you when you’re gone. Stop being selfish for likes and clicks. It shouldn’t take being eaten by a bison for you to realize, social media aint that serious! ~ Ramiro
@rebeccaclark Solo hiking at Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway in Texas. I was charged and gored by a bison because I was to CLOSE to be passing them on a trailway They are beautiful creatures protected by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) and are a part of the Texas State Bison Restoration Project where the park has restored the historic Charles Goodnight Bison herd (The Official Texas State Bison Herd) to a portion of its former range in the park. I am posting to support safety while enjoying Texas State Parks #TPWD #bisonetiquette101 #hikingsafety #llbean #chaos #rei
