2 $1,000,000 Powerball Winners in Massachusetts, Jackpot Surges to $1.55 Billion

There was no Powerball jackpot winner Saturday night so the pot is now going to be $1.55 BILLION for Monday night’s drawing. But all hope is not lost if you bought a ticket in Massachusetts. There were thousands of winners here. The winners were not of the big prize BUT there were 2 one million dollar winners. One was in W Springfield – Stop & Shop #094 and the other was in Dracut at A L Prime #159. Also there were 5 people who won prizes of$150,000 by matching 4 numbers plus the Powerball number. The winning numbers were: 47, 54, 57, 60, 65 and red Powerball 19. Monday’s jackpot will be the FOURTH largest in lottery history.

So what is the next drawing looking like? According to a press release from Powerball: It’s the FOURTH largest in the American lottery game’s history.  There has been no grand prize winner since July 19, when a single ticket sold in California won a jackpot worth $1.08 billion.  That amount of money is nothing to sneeze at. If someone wins Monday’s jackpot, they’ll have a cash pay out of $679.8 million.  The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.  Most people choose the lump sum payout to ensure they get all of their money while they’re still here. Smart move.
