McDonald’s $5 Value Meal Is Coming, But There’s A Catch
McDonald’s $5 value meal is coming. But here’s the deal. It’s not as amazing as it sounds. There are a couple of catches here but before we fill you in, let’s take a look at why McDonald’s felt the pressure to bring us this deal in the first place.
McDonald’s sales did not reach expectations
So first quarter numbers show mixed results with many McDonald’s stores missing expectations. Shares of McDonald’s stock has dipped in the first quarter and after 3 years of growth, increases have been well below expectations. According to CEO Chris Kempczinski “Consumers continue to be even more discriminating with every dollar that they spend as they faced elevated prices in their day-to-day spending, which is putting pressure on the [quick-service restaurant] industry,”
McDonald’s $5 value meal will be here in June, but here’s the catch
So here’s the deal: the $5 value meal will include four items. The four items include a McChicken or McDouble, four-piece chicken nuggets, fries and a drink — and will run for roughly a month, beginning on June 25. So there’s your catch. This deal will only be valid for one month. The other catch is, it most likely WILL NOT be available at every location.
