Nicki Minaj Fans PISSED After Grammy Academy Mistakenly Announces Her as Best Rap Song Winner
Well isn’t this unfortunate. Nicki Minaj has been nominated for 12 Grammy Awards throughout her career. Unfortunately, she has not won one as of yet. All that supposedly had changed as of last night. Nicki had finally broken her Grammy curse. The Barbz were under the impression Nicki and Ice Spice had won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Song for “Barbie World.” Why? Because the Grammy Academy told us so.
During the Grammy pre telecast, the award for Best Rap Song had been announced. The nominees were: Scientists & Engineers by Future and Andre 3000, Barbie World by Nicki Minaj & Ice Spice, Just Wanna Rock by Lil Uzi Vert, Rich Flex by Drake and 21 Savage and Attention by Doja Cat. It initially looked like Nicki was finally getting her moment. The official account for the Recording Academy tweeted out that Nicki and Ice Spice had indeed won. The only problem was, it was a mistake. The actual winner was “Scientists & Engineers.” This of course caused the Barbz to get furious.
Many of Nicki’s fans were asking how the Academy could make such a huge mistake. Others were asking if this was proof that the Grammys are plotting against her. Her fans got together and tweeted the hashtag #Scammys and yes it did get trending. It’s still trending as of this morning.
