For several days, both Drake and Kendrick Lamar have been going back and forth releasing diss tracks. Kendrick continues to make reference to Drake being a pedophile because of his interest in younger girls. It’s because of these accusations that a video featuring 17 year old Tia Owens has resurfaced. The 17-year-old, now 31-year-old Woman Defends Drake.
Woman Defends Drake As Video Resurfaces
The video in question, shows Drake bringing a then 17 year old Tia Owens on stage at an old show. In the video, you see Drake getting very close to the girl and asking her her age. According to Tia, “Regarding the video that’s going around… I was 17 back then and I’m 31 now. This was a concert that my dad took me to back in high school.
Drake’s entourage actually picked me out from the crowd of people…NOT DRAKE himself,” she wrote. “(BTW performers always bring fans up on stage… it’s part of their show) It was nothing then and still nothing now. Now that I have learned up these fake narratives.. I’m going back to study for my law school exams. Wish me luck.”
Now, it’s not clear whether or not Tia’s comments will sway anyone’s opinions. It seems those who are on Drake’s side are his fan base. And Kendrick’s fan base are pretty loyal to him as well. But the fact that Tia took the time to defend Drake and explain the video makes it seem a little less controversial.
