Cassie Releases Statement And Asks That We Believe Victims The First Time
Cassie has issued a statement in regards to the disgusting and horrifying video that surfaced last week showing Cassie being beaten by Diddy in a hotel. If you haven’t seen it, we will not be posting it here. Just know, the surveillance video was taken back in 2016 at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. It shows Cassie, holding a suitcase, heading for the elevators. Diddy is seen in a towel only grabbing her, throwing her to the ground, kicking her and then throwing objects at her. He is then seen dragging Cassie back toward their hotel room. Ever since this video has been released, there has been an outpouring of support from fans and celebrities alike to Cassie. But until this morning, she has remained silent.
Cassie releases statement
Posted to her Instagram page this morning, Cassie says “Domestic violence is THE issue.” She thanks everyone for their outpouring of love and support. She then goes on to ask the we believe victims the first time adding that it takes a lot to tell the truth in a situation where someone feels powerless. Cassie then adds that the healing journey is never over. “This healing journey is never ending, but this support means everything to me.”
