Maynard’s historic ice cream shop Erikson’s is set to open this weekend. Erikson’s has been a staple in the town of Maynard since 1937. Opening day so to speak is something the town and beyond looks forward to each year. Now the weather hasn’t been the best, but that will NOT stop the customers from heading down to get some of the best ice cream.
What makes Erikson’s different?
Erikson’s is rich in history going all the way back to World War I. It is a family run operation and will continue to be well into the future. As far as actual ice cream, they offer everything from regular ice cream to sorbets to vegan flavors, even sugar free. With over 100 reviews on Yelp, Erikson’s is consistently described as having some of the best ice cream around. Their portions are enormous and you can find flavors there that you can’t find anywhere else.

Erikson’s is located on the outskirts of Maynard, MA on the way toward Stow. Its exact address is 12 Great Road. There is plenty of free parking as its a gravel parking lot open to the public.
