Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said yesterday that Tom Brady is taking some personal time away from the team. “Tom has been excused today. He’ll be taking… he’ll be back somewhere around after Tennessee,” Bowles said, per NBC Sports. “He’s going to deal with some personal things.” It was confirmed via a source that Tom is not injured. There is some speculation that some have come up with in regards to Tom’s mom Galynn who’s been battling breast cancer since 2016. There’s been no evidence to back that up, only speculation. Back over July 4th weekend, Tom was seen golfing with his mom for her 77th birthday. There is also speculation that Tom may be leaving for some family time but again this is only speculation. Coach Bowles added “We allotted this time because he wanted to get in and get chemistry with the guys and go through two weeks of training camp, knowing he wasn’t going to play the first two games.” Sources close to the team and to Brady say they’re not worried about Tom adding that they’re confident he’ll return for the Bucs first game against the Cowboys on September 11.

Forbes' 2022 List of the World's 10 Highest-Paid Athletes
Forbes released their 2022 list of the “World’s 10 Highest-Paid Athletes”. Believe it or not, there is NO baseball player in the top 10. It consists of athletes from the world of soccer, basketball, tennis, boxing and football. Tom Brady is the only NFL athlete to make the list at #9 which is where he was last year. Collectively, the world’s ten highest-paid athletes raked in $992 million over the last 12 months, according to Forbes’ estimates. Here is where the list stands in the year of 2022.
