We have been blessed this winter as far as snow totals. As of this morning (February 23) there has been less than 10 inches of snow TOTAL in the Boston area. In the past week, we have hit 60 degrees and people have been excited for the potential of an early spring. Unfortunately, that is not the case. First off, today will be very dicey as far as the snow and freezing rain and sleet. According to our friend Shiri Spear from Boston 25, the “snizzle” as she called it will continue through the morning and taper off a bit. However, it’ll come back tonight to make tomorrow morning’s commute just as treacherous. But that’s not what everyone is talking about this morning. Shiri also informed us that a MAJOR snowstorm is on the horizon for early next week. Tuesday to be exact. According to Shiri, we have a potential to get 6-12 inches of snow on Tuesday next week. Now keep in mind, this far out it is very hard for meteorologists to predict exact snow totals as the forecast will change between now and then. However, just know the potential is there for a major storm to hit Boston early next week so make your plans accordingly. You can hear our interview conversation with Shiri below:
